You live your life — or the one others expected of you?

There is an invisible script in almost every life. It arrives before awareness: in family expectations, in choices that were never really choices, in roles you accepted without knowing you were accepting them.

Psychoanalysis doesn’t resolve this script. It makes it possible to see it — and from there, to decide what to do with it.

The work

There is no single profile. But there is a type of question.

The person who comes to analysis is not necessarily in acute crisis. More often, they are living something quieter: the feeling of living a life that works — and that still isn’t entirely their own. Repeating patterns they recognise but cannot change. Reaching what they were supposed to want — without knowing when they chose to want it.

Our symptom is rarely just a problem. Often, it is also a solution — for something that doesn’t yet have another name.

I work with adults in individual sessions, in Portuguese or English, in person in Porto or online. There is no fixed protocol or set number of sessions. What there is: a method, and a space where what you say matters in ways you don’t yet know.

Psy on the Road (in development)

Walking doesn’t invent anything. It removes.

A small-group experience combining long-distance walking with psychoanalytic listening — developed from the practice of pilgrimage and the clinic. Individual sessions along the route, structured silence, and group conversations at the end of the day.

Not a retreat. Not coaching. Not fitness. A way of creating conditions for something to shift — inwardly — while the body walks. Portugal, Spain or Italy.
